A book about a boy named Charley, who meets a girl named Emma at the playground.  Emma gets around in a wheelchair, and this is new and different to Charley.  Charley eventually finds out that it's ok to be different, and that differences should be celebrated.

Amy Lynn Webb is an American futurist, author, and founder/CEO of the Future Today Institute.

This book tells the story of the marches in Selma, Alabama in 1965. The book goes into detail about how this March affected teachers, and how it changed their jobs to this day.

The authors of this book are Sandra Neil Wallace and Rich Wallace. They are nonfiction authors who conducted extensive interviews about this subject.

Sulwe has skin the color of midnight. She is darker than everyone she knows but dreams to be beautiful and bright. The night sky opens her eyes to  a magical journey which changes everything.

In this picture book, actress Lupita Nyong’o creates a heartfelt story to inspire children to see their own unique beauty from skin tones day to night.

Together Empire actor and activist Grace Byers and new coming artist Keturah A. Bobo created this  book about uplifting and motivation, loving who you are, respect for diversity, being kind to one another, and female empowerment.

“We are all here for a purpose. We are more than enough. We just need to believe it.”

Based on the Oscar winning short film, it's up to Daddy to step in to style Zuri's hair an extra special hair style. Her hair has a mind of its own with kinks, coils, and curls every which way but Zuri knows it's beautiful. Daddy has a lot to learn about her hair type, but he LOVES Zuri, and he'll do anything to make her happy.

This book discusses the history of injustice in America, and highlights many of the peace movements and their accomplishments. Great for  preK to 3rd grade.

Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History

A poetic, lyrical text assuring Black and Brown children they always have and always will matter.

Tami Charles, the author, is a former teacher who writes books for both children and young adults. Her prose in this is accompanied by illustrations from renowned artist Bryan Collier, a  Caldecott Honor recipient and  Coretta Scott King Award winner.

Sofia’s abuelo is hurt in the local landfill and she decides she wants to build a park to deal with the mess that is Mount Trashmore, but must find perseverance after a City Hall clerk tells her she can’t because she’s just a kid.
